  • We're starting our IQ2 Position Papers.
  • Write out one (mild) or two (spicy) arguments. Go deep :
    • Use more than one piece of evidence.
    • Do lots of analysis. There should be more analysis than evidence.
    • Feel free to write more than one paragraph.

For Homework:

  • Discuss the test format and basic test-taking strategies.
  • Take the Khan academy diagnostic quizzes for reading and writing.
  • Start practicing your skills that need work.

We are finalizing our research and turning it in to Google Classroom before the end of the day. 

Here are some key changes to the questions:
  • You must turn in an individual document
    • Vocabulary, question and arguments can use shared language.
  • You need at least six affirmative arguments, and six negative arguments.
  • The more pieces of evidence you have, the better. Use all of your class time today.
