For Reading:

Chapter 14

  1. Why does the author compare Okonkwo to a fish out of water? How does Okonkwo’s character change in Mbanta?
  2. What lesson does Uchendu try to teach Okonkwo when he calls the family together?
  3. Do you believe Okonkwo's exile is the result of his personal chi, the result of his choices, or something else? Explain your answer with evidence from the text.
