Monday: Brainstorming Beliefs

To Start:
  • Get illustrative! Find, sketch or take a picture of something important to you. It could be a thing, a place, an activity, or something else. 
  • In your starter document:
    • ​What did you illustrate? Either include the picture, or describe it for me.
    • Why is it important to you? What role has it played in your life?
    • What have you learned from it?
  • Show and tell with your table.

Classwork:
  • As a table, brainstorm as many beliefs as you can. (Personal, social, political, spiritual, etc.)
  • Choose one belief to crunch in into ten word statement.
  • Conference with a peer about your idea.
  • Complete the brainstorming chart.
  • Work time!

Homework:
  • Quiz on Wednesday (tomorrow!). Review Friday's notes and classwork.
  • Peer critique on Thursday. Bring two printed copies of your essay.
  • Starters due on Friday.
