In Class:
Watch the Atomic Cafe. (If you have technical difficulties, it is also on Youtube, with French subtitles.)

• As you watch, jot down ideas, images, phrases that are particularly striking or surprising in the film. You should have 5 to 10 by the end of the film.
• At the end of the film, answer these questions:
  • According to this film, what values were Americans being taught during the Cold War?
  • How do you think that the fear of bombs affected people’s lives?
• Discuss the answers, first with your elbow partner, and then as class.
• File your notes and responses in your binder for Monday.

In the last 20 minutes of class, our amazing college counselor Jessica Adams will be coming in to help you register for college fair information sessions.
