To Start:
  • Pick up your binder and "mail," and one of each paper from the outbox.
  • Draw a horizontal line across your starter/closer page, and title it "Starter - January 12th."
  • Get out your "Art Project Overview" and read over the grading criteria.
  • Think of two things that you personally need to do, above and beyond my grading criteria, to earn an A on your project, and write them on your starter document.

In Class:
We're postponing our gallery walk until Wednesday, so that we can make the most of our critique time. Please plan on having a totally complete draft to show tomorrow in order to earn credit.

We'll also go over the expectations for our exhibition and invite people to come.

To Close:
  • File the "Art Project Overview" in the resources section of your binder.
  • Draw a horizontal line across your starter/closer page, and title it "Closer - January 12th."
  • Answer the following questions:
    • Which three people did you invite?
    • What snack are you going to bring to share?
    • Will you be coming to the challenge extension seminar for "The Sorrow of War" on Thursday at lunch?
  • Put what you're going to work on in your planner.
  • Turn your starter/closer into the box.
  • Shelve your binder.

At Home:
Work on your art piece for our gallery walk tomorrow. If you haven't put in time outside of class, your project is probably looking pretty unpolished and unprofessional right now. Take the time to make it something you're proud of.
