To Start:
  • What did you learn in the last critique process? (About your own story, about what makes a good story generally, or about what makes a helpful critique. Not "nothing.")
  • Think back to our last critique. What makes a suggestion helpful and specific?
  • Think back to Palahniuk. How can an author show the reader elements of the story, rather than telling them?
  • Name two new classmates that you would like to work with.

In Class:
  • We're completing a final round of peer critique on "Show, Don't Tell," using this form.
  • Show Ally your critiques and share them out loud with your partner to earn credit.
  • Then, we'll have work time to integrate feedback and ideas into our stories.

Coming Up:
  • The second draft of your story is due by in Google Classroom the end of day on Friday.
    • You can earn five extra points for turning your story in early, by 5pm on Thursday.
  • The first draft of your book cover is due in hard or digital copy by the start of class on Monday.

Extra Office Hours:
  • Thursday after school. Please arrive before 3:30pm.
